Walmart Connect Canada Academy Ad Certification Program Terms & Conditions
Introduction.
As Canada’s number one omnichannel retailer, Walmart Canada Corp.’s (“Walmart”, “we” or “our”) mission through Walmart Connect Canada is to help partners, sellers and suppliers connect more meaningfully with Walmart customers. To help you learn how to drive meaningful results for suppliers and sellers while reaching their customers throughout their shopper journey, we created our Walmart Connect Canada Academy Ad Certification program (the “Program”).
This comprehensive learning program is designed to educate partners, suppliers, and sellers about the Walmart Connect Canada platform and ad formats to help them achieve optimal results. It’s designed to empower advertisers and partners to become certified experts in our platform and products to help drive results for brands.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are designed to help you understand the terms and conditions governing our Program.
By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the decisions of Walmart, which are final and binding in all matters.
Confidentiality.
During the course of your participation in the Program, you may receive information relating to Walmart Connect Canada or to the Program that is not known to the general public ("Confidential Information"). You agree that: (a) all Confidential Information will remain Walmart’s exclusive property; (b) you will use Confidential Information only as is reasonably necessary for your participation in the Program; (c) you will not otherwise disclose Confidential Information to any other person; and (d) you will take all reasonable measures to protect the Confidential Information against any use or disclosure that is not expressly permitted under these Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, all testing materials are Confidential Information. You will not disclose, reproduce, copy, transmit, distribute, or make derivative works of any Confidential Information.
Certification.
To obtain a Walmart Connect Canada Academy Ad Certification (“Certification”), you must (a) take the applicable certification assessment(s) and receive a passing score as determined by Walmart Connect Canada, (b) complete any other requirements that may be implemented from time to time, and (c) adhere to all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the Program, including these Terms (collectively, with (a), the “Certification Requirements”). Certification through this Program can only be issued to the actual individual who meets the Certification Requirements. Third parties, including but not limited to employers, representatives, associates, or agents, are not entitled to the privileges granted to you under these Terms.
Certification Badges.
Once Certification Assessment(s) are passed, individual participants will also receive a digital certification badge (“Badge”), valid for one year from date of issuance, to signify their successful completion of the assessment on a particular topic regarding Walmart Connect Canada, including, but not limited to: Walmart Connect Canada Retail Media, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Videos. Individual employees who earn Badges can post them to their personal LinkedIn accounts only. Individuals cannot post Badges to their employer’s owned & operated channels, including but not limited to, their company’s websites or social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) handles. Companies are prohibited from promoting, reposting, publishing, or sharing Badges earned by company employees on any owned & operated, earned or paid media channels without Walmart Connect Canada’s prior approval.
Walmart Connect Canada reserves the right to audit, disable, and revoke Badge usage and privileges if Badge credentials are misused, misrepresented, or mis-issued. Our Badges cannot be changed, altered, modified, attached, combined, or locked with any company logos (i.e., visually combine the two logos) or other individual credentials.
Program Participation Termination.
You agree that if for any reason we believe that you have violated these Terms, we may in our sole discretion cancel the results of any Certification Assessment, revoke any Certification (and any Badge associated therewith), terminate your rights under these Terms, and/or otherwise prohibit you from participating in the Program or any other programs offered by Walmart.
Data Collection, Use and Sharing.
Intellum is the provider of the Program platform. Their privacy policy governs collection and use of any data provided within the Program platform. Please be sure to review their privacy policy at https://www.intellum.com/privacy-policy. Any data provided to Walmart Connect Canada, including on walmartconnect.ca, is subject to the Walmart Connect Canada privacy policy available at https://www.walmartconnect.ca/privacycentre. You understand that completion of the Program triggers publication of a Badge showing your name, course, and date of completion that is available online through a general search. You understand that your participation in the Program and feedback provided in certification surveys may be utilized by Walmart Connect Canada without any limitation, obligation, or compensation. We reserve the right to share with your organization and designated individuals acting as administrators information from your Program account, such as, but not limited to: your name, corporate email address, job role, access level, courses taken and total number of certifications attained. You agree to release Walmart from any and all liability for any of your Program account information provided to or used by your organization and/or their representatives.
Indemnification.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Walmart Inc., our affiliates and licensors, and each of our and their respective employees, officers, directors, representatives, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to any third party claim concerning: (a) your participation in the Program; (b) your use of a Badge in a manner not authorized by these Terms; (c) any representations, warranties, or guarantees you make to third parties with respect to Walmart or Walmart Connect Canada or the specifications, features, or capabilities of any of the Walmart Connect Canada products or services; (d) any misrepresentation or embellishment by you of your relationship with Walmart, including Walmart Connect Canada; (e) your actual or alleged breach of these Terms or violation of applicable law; or (f) a dispute between you and any third party. You will not settle any claim without our prior written consent (which will not be unreasonably withheld or delayed). We may assume control of the defense and settlement of the claim at any time in our sole discretion.
Independent Contractors; Non-Exclusive Rights.
We and you are independent contractors, and neither party, nor any of their respective affiliates, is an agent of the other for any purpose or has the authority to bind the other.
Translation.
These Terms and all related materials have been originally drawn up in English. In the event of any discrepancy between these Terms translated into other languages and the English version, the English version shall prevail.
